This policy explains what personal information SafaiKart collects when you use our website or app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, and some information automatically:
- Account details — name, phone number, email address and password.
- Order details — pickup and drop addresses, service selections, order history and special instructions.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment partner Razorpay; we receive confirmation of payment, not your card, UPI or bank credentials.
- Device and usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (for serviceability checks) and cart contents, some of which is kept in your browser's local storage so your cart survives a reload.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Take, price, schedule and fulfil your orders, including coordinating pickup and delivery.
- Send order and account updates by SMS, WhatsApp, email or in-app notification.
- Apply membership benefits, wallet credit and promo codes to your account.
- Improve the Service and understand which areas and services to expand.
4. Sharing your information
We share only what is needed to run the Service: your name, address and phone number with the pickup/delivery partner assigned to your order, and payment details with Razorpay to process transactions. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we only disclose it beyond this when required by law or to protect the safety and rights of SafaiKart, our partners or our customers.
5. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart between visits, and understand how the Service is used. You can clear these at any time from your browser settings, though doing so may sign you out or empty your cart.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and order information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet our accounting, tax and legal obligations, or to resolve disputes.
7. Your rights
You can review and update most of your account details — addresses, name, contact information — directly from your account page. To request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, write to contact.safaikart@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and an account should only be created by an adult.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date, and we encourage you to review this page periodically.
